Practising yoga one or more times per week may help to lower blood pressure, according to a large observational study in the US.

About one-third of adults globally have high blood pressure, which increases the risk of having a heart attack or stroke. Physical activity is known to lower blood pressure not only during heartbeats (systolic pressure) but also in between beats (diastolic pressure). However, many people have trouble sticking to exercise regimes.
